LUSTRONES-MATWB
This is the new WB Enhancer for the Amiga!!!
**WARNING**
You can use this package only if you have:
-One Hard Disk
-One AGA Computer!!!
-One Multisync Monitor
-The OS 3.0 or Higher
In fact this Patterns are all in 640*564 (maximum vertical overscan) so you
need a Multisync monitor (if you don`t want to become Idiot).
- INTRODUCTION -
This little package is useful for giving another aspect to your Magic WB
pattern, so you MUST have the Magic WB package (also the old Package) by Martin
Huttenloher if you want your workbench to the bone!!!
This Package contains four patterns and some little program that give that
"magic touch"!
- INSTALLATION -
Why the high resolution and why five patterns? oh yes! just a moment!
The patterns aren`t like the magicwb patterns (a boring repeated block!), but
they are four big (very big) 640*553 patterns...Oh, I know it`s very expensive,
but they are in 8 colors and they`re also very beautyful...(I hope!!!).
They are four so you can select your favourite or otherwise you can show a new
pattern each time you reboot your computer!
Before you run the install script you ***MUST*** make some assigns...
PATTERNS: (To the directory where the patterns copied to)
ICONS: (To the directory where the icons copied to)
Well...I think we can start.
Now go to click the install icon and wait the program copy all the files...
There is also present an archive that contains:
Rand v1.0 that will be copied in c:
Unfortunately I haven`t found the Tinyclock archive with full docs and I hope
who coded it don`t get angry for this.
When all is finished then you can edit your wbpattern prefs selecting your
favourite pattern in the directory "PATTERNS:WBpattern/".
If you want to have only a pattern click on the save button.
If you want more then one pattern you have to go in the upper menu and select
the "save as" function and create some different preferences with different
patterns like:
ClockPat.prefs (for the ClockPattern.IFF)
LagoonPat.prefs (for the LagoonPattern.IFF)
OpalPat.prefs (for the OpalPattern.IFF)
MarblePat.Prefs (for the MarblePattern.IFF)
The Install Script create a directory called randomprefs in the
sys:prefs/presets/ dir. Put there this preferences files!!!
If you don`t put there the prefs file you have to edit the file in the S:
directory called "Randompattern" with the directory and the names of the
pattern preferences and the number of them...
EXAMPLE:
If you want only 2 different pattern you save the Firstpattern.prefs and the
Secondpattern.prefs into a directory.
Then edit the file in the s: directory called "Randompattern" like this
2
Workbench:prefs/presets/randomprefs/Firstpattern.prefs
Workbench:prefs/presets/randomprefs/Secondpattern.prefs
The nunber at the top of the file show how many pattern prefs there are
(if the pattern prefs are 5 you write 5 at the top of the file).
Now Edit your Startup-sequence and add this at the top:
C:Rand s:randompattern "copy [] Env:sys/WBPattern.prefs"
This is the program that select randomly the pattern prefs from the file you
have created first.
Now you must replace the icons if you have to, otherwise you can use the icons
for your favourite drawers (remember you have to change the tooltype with a
program like iconedit if you don`t use the icons like Disks)...
Then you understand that the icons fits perfectly on the pattern, but remember
to snapshot them!
